Harm drives
her home. It's much later than Mac anticipated and because of the hour, there's
very little traffic. He fiddles with the radio, settles on a jazz station.
Finally, he pulls up in front of her apartment. It doesn't surprise her that
he walks her to the door. She puts her hand on his chest, and then leans towards
him. His hands rest lightly on her shoulders, and then slip down her back.
She presses her cheek against the starched material of his uniform, reveling
in his warmth. For the first time in years, she feels she's truly home.
